As supermarket chain Spar noticed an increasing lack of uniformity in recent years in the presentation of the Spar brand in the
The main challenge for TCC was therefore to create a clear identity for Spar that would allow the brand to operate as a stand-alone entity, thereby strengthening the formula as a whole. Spar’s number-one priority in this process was creating product packaging that captures the essence of the Spar brand — perfectly in line with the proposition of ‘Bringing the freshest, most delicious products closest to the customer’. In other words, the packaging should serve to strengthen and improve the brand's image, while the company was also looking to create a bolder logo whose colour and design should brighten up the aisles. Other key criteria were legibility, consistency, ingenuous use of colour and aesthetic photography.
To launch the new look, Spar has already introduced product packaging for olive oil as part of the new brand identity, which meets all the criteria listed above. Great-looking packaging for great-tasting products — we’re looking forward to seeing more soon!
